- Satellite IoT connectivity: Refers to the revenues generated from providing pure satellite connectivity specifically for data services to IoT equipment, excluding voice services such as calling or push-to-talk (PTT) for non-IoT equipment. Connectivity is delivered through two access methods: (1) Direct access to IoT equipment and (2) Indirect access via gateways. This segment explicitly excludes revenues generated by Satellite Network Operators from providing indirect access (satellite backhaul) to public cellular networks operated by Mobile Network Operators.
