The Smart Home data reveals that the market has grown by about 95% between Q2/2016 and Q2/2017, reaching a quarterly revenue of about $3.3B in Q2/2017.

Appliances ($646M in Q2/2017), however, remains the fastest growing segment at 341% growth yoy, driven by a technology push of the South Korean manufacturers LG and Samsung.
