About the database
The Global Cloud Projects Report and Database 2023 is part of IoT Analytics’ ongoing coverage of IoT platforms and software. The information presented in this report is based on a database of 7,000 global cloud projects by the five leading hyperscalers. All data are based on public information that is available in the websites of the respective cloud vendors (Microsoft, AWS, Google, Oracle, and Alibaba). The data of the cloud projects were last updated on May 2023. The document includes definitions for (IoT) cloud computing, example projects, analysis of the collected 7,000 projects by region/industry/customer size, and how often each cloud product appears in the case studies.
The main purpose of this document is to provide our readers with insights regarding the cloud computing landscape and the position of each of the five vendors within it.
